Grand Home Care provides training for all employees. This ensures that our staff are fully conversant with the latest regulations and techniques, and can provide the optimum care for your loved ones. Training is in line with standards as set out by United Kingdom guidance.
The Care Assistant training which all new employees receive is as follows:
- 3 day Care Certificate
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Infection Control
- Manual Handling
The training courses take 5 days in total to complete, and each careworker must complete these before starting a contract.
The Domiciliary Care Standards Act was passed by Parliament in the UK on the 20th July 2000. Its main aim was to make sure that the care of vulnerable people was properly regulated, to improve the standard of care that was received by them and to introduce consistency in the regulation of services provided.
